Over and out.
Tomorrow I'm going home again ... :)
My suitcase weighs considerably more than welcome and I have a feeling not all have to be seen. 4 months have really a terribly short time. I will miss the bagels, the spring flowers, warm weather and the many beautiful old houses. What I will not miss is the transport links and the English fashion:)
My January was dominated again by the last-minute learning for my 3 exams in Psychology of Pain, Forensic Psychology and Medical & Molecular Neuroscience, Neuroscience. The latter two were very good (I am still surprised that I have an hour in English about the importance of Gap junctions - which include electrical synapses - in research and teaching to write;). Psychology of Pain, my first test, made me a little overwhelmed because I was not first written for it and have only a week before the exam learn. I also knew, of course not, what to expect. The other two tests, I was all the more safer.
In my last week I was able to once again play tourist.
are here are the last pictures of Bath and surrounding areas.
The Stone Circle in Stanton Drew is almost as beautiful as Avebury.
In recent weeks it rained incredibly much - that's why there are large parts of the Avon Valley - including Bath under water.
(after all, we can imagine the defense again - at the beginning of the week it was completely flooded).
In Bradford on Avon - the water is just below the bridge. For comparison again: Flooding of the River Severn in Gloucester:)
Although it is claimed that in Bath for three (or maybe four) years of snow has fallen, but I have - seen a single snow flake - fortunately. And despite the rain it was in the last two weeks quite warm. The result:
Cathedral No 1 - Gloucester. The day before yesterday (2 days after I was there) have the filming of Harry Potter 6 started.
No. 2 Wells Cathedral - one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England (because of the ornate front area and scissor-shaped curve to the right, which was only a temporary solution the architects).
Zusammegefasst: I'm in the last week went very far through cities and churches;)
Well - tomorrow ... No - today ... my bus comes at 8.25 clock and my plane at 14.25. That is why I go to sleep now;)
Greetings
Sabine
